Abigail is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), currently working in independent practice after a decade of service within the NHS.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Psychology – Bangor University
- Masters by Research (MRes) – Bangor University
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) – The University of Manchester
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) – The University of Manchester
- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology (PGDiP) – University of Glasgow
Abigail is also a Schema Therapist working towards accreditation with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST).
Professional Background:
Throughout her career, Abigail has held a range of roles delivering psychological services to individuals with diverse support needs. Her clinical experience spans complex trauma, physical health conditions, and neurodivergence. After ten years in the NHS, she transitioned into independent practice to offer more flexible and personalised care.
Therapeutic Approach:
Abigail draws from a rich blend of therapeutic models including Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and neuropsychology. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to helping people make sense of their experiences, build confidence and hope, and create lives that reflect what matters most to them.
