With over 20 years of experience in the NHS, Catherine has specialised in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. She has held senior leadership roles within NHS services in London and Sussex, working across secondary care community mental health teams and psychology departments. In addition to her NHS work, she provides online CBT sessions for a small private clinic based in London.
Catherine’s therapeutic approach centres on CBT and Schema Therapy. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, she helps individuals make sense of their current difficulties by exploring their developmental history and the coping strategies they’ve learned. Her work focuses on healing unmet developmental needs and updating patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to support a more fulfilling life aligned with personal values and goals.
Her areas of expertise include trauma—whether experienced in childhood or later in life—anxiety, mood difficulties, and low self-esteem. Across all her work, Catherine brings warmth and compassion, values that are central to her practice.
She is based in Sussex and currently offers appointments online.
