Kirsty is a Clinical Psychologist and registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Psychology, University of Reading
  • Family Interventions for Adults – Foundation Level, Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice, University of Surrey
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy)

Kirsty has 15 years of experience working in mental health settings within the NHS, primarily supporting adults with complex mental health needs. She has held senior clinical psychology leadership roles in the NHS and now practices solely in independent practice. While Kirsty has extensive experience offering psychological services to individuals with a wide range of mental health support needs, she holds a specialist interest in supporting people who struggle with complex trauma and low self-esteem.

Her approach is warm and compassionate, dedicated to helping people find more effective ways of addressing their difficulties, facilitating meaningful change, and moving closer toward the life they want to lead. The primary therapeutic models Kirsty uses include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Schema-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She works collaboratively and flexibly, tailoring interventions to best meet individual needs.
